Wire Wrapping a Cabochon Workshop
Instructor: Marlene Gremillion October 16, 2024 10 am to 2 pm Ouachita Artists Gallery $60 per student Materials provided In this one-day workshop students will be working with square and half round wire (copper or brass). Students will wrap a cabochon making a beautiful pendant to hang on a necklace. You will learn to measure, arrange, wrap, and bend wire around a stone (cabochon) which is a stone that has been finished flat on one side and raised on the other typically oval or round. Students should have some knowledge of handling wires and using hand tools to manipulate the wire. If you have safety glasses or eyeglasses, please bring them. Wire, cabochon, beads, and use of tools will be provided in this one-day workshop. Marlene Gremillion, artist, and instructor for over 40 years has been working in jewelry for approximately 25 years and sells her works in galleries throughout the state. |

Art and Drawing Class by Barbara Holt
First and Third Saturdays of Each Month 1:00 -2:30 p.m.
Barbara Holt will be teaching an ongoing art/drawing class from 1:00-2:30 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Barbara says this is more like a tutoring session, with each student receiving individual attention depending on his/her existing abilities, needs, and interests. Various media will be explored during these classes. Think of a one-room schoolhouse with a teacher who can teach all levels of development at the same time! All supplies are provided, and each class session is $5.00. Ages 9 and up, including adults.
